Mr. G P Russ Chaney is the newly elected Chairman of the World Plumbing Council. Having associated with WPC for l2 years now, earlier he served as Deputy Chairman of the Council. He began his plumbing apprenticeship while attending college in 1975. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Personnel Management and Labour Relations, from Rowan University in the Unites States. He later achieved a degree in Accounting, while concluding his apprenticeship in Plumbing. In 1981, he obtained his Master Plumbers License and later a Plumbing Inspector License from the State of New Jersey. He also possesses numerous other plumbing industry certifications. He became involved in the development and maintenance of model plumbing and mechanical codes in the early 1980s. His practical experience coupled with his business training provided him with a unique perspective of the plumbing and mechanical industries. He also serves as Chief Executive of the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials (IAPMO Group).
