Mr. Kamal Khokhani, Director of Akar Info Media Private Limited (or simply AIM), has rich and diverse experience, spanning more than three and half decades. As CEO of this Indo-German joint venture, he has established AIM as an interactive and effective B2B media and tradefair platform in the field of building services industry in India . As a part of the long term strategy, AIM publishes five well respected and well received publications - Construction Journal of India (CJI), Indian Plumbing Today (IPT), Stone Edge India (SEI), design magazine INSITE and Structural Engineering Digest (SED). His association with IPA dates back to 1999 when he joined hands to bring out Indian Plumbing Today (IPT) and later, the organized database – Plumbing Directory of India (PDI) as an annual affair. He has also forged an alliance with IPA for organizing conferences at various destinations across the country. He has successfully organized eleven conferences so far, at various destinations across the country. IPA and AIM have successfully organized India's first ever international exhibition of plumbing and allied products – PlumbexIndia'08 , early this year. The second show – PlumbexIndia'09 is scheduled in January 2009. AIM has also joined hands with IAPMO group of USA for bringing out the Uniform Plumbing Code – India and also acts as their sole distributors in India . With his such a close association with IPA for around one decade, Mr. Khokhani has made his modest contribution in integrating the Indian plumbing fraternity and bringing the players of the Indian plumbing industry on a single platform called - IPA.
