Dr. Rohit Goyal, holding over 15 years of total work experience, is currently serving as Professor of Civil Engineering at the Malaviya National Institute of Technology - Jaipur. He is an M.E. in Hydraulics and Irrigation Engineering and a Ph.D. on ‘Seepage from canals founded on finite pervious soil with asymmetric drainages’, also holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing Applications in Water Resources. He has undertaken several practical training projects and provided assistance in number of research projects. He has presented papers at number of conferences. He received the Best Paper Award for his paper presented at the GIS India 2003 Conference at Jaipur. He received the Career Award for Young Teachers in the year 1995 from the All India Council for Technical Education. He has assisted in the editing of several books and attended numerous workshops as well as short-term courses, acting as the subject expert in some of them..
