Er. Ramani Iyer is an outstanding personality with a scintillating record of experience and accomplishments. A postgraduate of engineering, Mr. Iyer also acquired management skills and qualifications from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad before embarking on a challenging career. He was in the country's Defence R&D in the initial phase of his working life, and then shifted into the private sector to start working in Philips India for 5 years followed by a 9-year stint at Nelco. Since 1983, Er. Ramani Iyer has been with Forbes Marshall, Pune, and is considered a leading industry expert both in India and abroad. While he is a member of the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society, USA , in India he is member of a number of national bodies like Instrument Society of India, Metrology Society of India, Bureau of Indian Standards, Confederation of Indian Industry, and Indian Chemical Council. As an honoured guest of IPA, Er. Ramani Iyer would be presenting a paper “CII National Strategy for Standards” at the 12 th IPC for outlining the broad strategy being undertaken at national level in respect of standardization and regularization of products, processes, and operations in the country
