Dr. Akhilendra B Gupta is a Ph.D. and Master’s degree holder in Environmental Science and Engineering. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies. He has been associated with the Malaviya National Institute of Technology - Jaipur, since 1984. He is currently serving as the Dean (R&D) at the Institute. In the course of his career, Dr. Gupta has taken up number of research and consultation projects and has guided 5 Ph.D.s and 70 Masters’ thesis. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences and has contributed to a number of journals. His major areas of focus are environment & health, biological waste treatment, and environmental modeling. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Environment and Pollution as well as the South Asian Journal of Preventive Cardiology. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Environment Conservation Journal. He has been honoured with several awards for his in-depth research and paper presentations, including the ‘Outstanding Engineering Teacher Award’ by the Lion’s Club - Jaipur, in the year 2004. He has chaired several technical sessions and delivered Keynote Addresses on more than one occasions.
